Ontario to Alberta
Beginning our journey
What a rush. And I mean that in speed not emotion. lol
A family wedding delayed our original departure date so we had to “rush” to Alberta as we had tickets to Blake Shelton at the Calgary Stampede and did not want to miss it.
The car handled very well for the strain put on her. Kincardine, Ontario to Calgary Alberta in 4 long days!
Check out the photo shoot at the “middle’ of Canada, some amazing sunsets and Harley, of course!

Calgary to Vancouver
This was the most incredible drive of my life!
We left Calgary and headed north through Canmore to Banff and witnessed the beauty of the Icefields Parkway to Jasper unfold before us.
The combination of mountains, glaciers, and icefields engulfing this little white Corvette made for one of the most beautiful photo shoots this car has ever starred in!
We continued from Jasper through to Mount Robson and started to head south towards Kamloops and Kelowna.
We arranged to leave the car with our son in Vancouver until we could return, so we decided we needed a relax from the drive and decided on a few days of R & R at Whistler.
We continued west through Merritt before heading north through Cache Creek and onto Highway 99 into Pemberton.
Well, for all you gearheads, this was one of the most exciting and exhilarating tours of my time (at that point, lol).
Hairpin turns, switchbacks, washouts, and one-lane bridges without guardrails—I can say I was scared "witless." 😬.
We made it into Whistler safely and enjoyed a couple of days of rest and then carried on to Vancouver for her first winter nap!

Vancouver Island
On the ferry we go!
We landed in Vancouver in June 2023 and were keen on a tour around Vancouver Island.
With a wash, a wax, some new fluids, and a top-up of fuel, she sailed through her road test, and our “captain” felt good to start our journey.
We said goodbye to the kids and headed to Tsawwassen to board the ferry to Swartz Bay, just north of Victoria.
We headed south on the 17 towards Victoria for a quick stopover before continuing on as far west as Port Renfrew through Sooke, Shirley, and Jordan River before starting back north and east through Lake Cowichan and past Nanaimo before stopping at Qualicum Beach. To continue, Click Here.

Reviving Classic Beauty
Spring had sprung, and the weather at the end of May 2024 was warming up.
We returned to Vancouver and dealt with the winter assault on the little white Corvette! If you haven’t read about us on our home page, it details the ordeal this little car endured over the winter!
None the worse for wear, with a brand new Mickey Thompson, she was as good as new.
We said our heartfelt goodbyes to the kids, as this little car was not coming back!
We ended our journey across Canada on Highway 99, crossed the border into the USA, and joined Highway 5 south towards Bellingham, Washington. To continue, Click Here.

Gaspe
Gaspe. Wow!!! Only in Canada !
The changes in the world have changed our travel habits, and we have found ourselves very patriotic! We love Canada and have so much still to see; a winter rebuild on this little white Corvette after her Route 66 adventures allowed us a 2025 fall trip to the southeastern portion of Quebec!
Don’t worry about communicating, as they do their best to welcome you in your native language. Otherwise, thank goodness for ChatGPT!
We crossed into Quebec from our home in Ontario. We took the ferry from St. Simeon across the St. Lawrence to Riviere-du-Loup and then cut right across the mountains to Campbellton and spent the night at the Malia Spa near Shippagan, NB. We ventured out to Miscou Island lighthouse and began our trip around Gaspé.
We backtracked and followed the shoreline through Bathurst and crossed back into Quebec east of Matapedia.
We continued our journey around the peninsula and stayed as close to the edge as possible. Chasing lighthouses became our adventure and sometimes took us too far off the beaten path.
Thankfully, each time we made it back to the main road!
The views rivaled the PCH; we just need more tourism to get the food and accommodations to catch up!
Regardless, we highly recommend this tour and some highlights, besides Perce and the Perce rock, finding the submarine at the Pointe-au-Pere Maritime Historic Site … and Le Grand Rassemblement in Sainte-Flavie!!
